Crownfield Dried Fruits Integral Muesli - REVIEW

This week I come to you with another cereal option from our dependable Crownfield. As it may be evident by now I am a regular consumer of these products, but I do not have a hard bias toward them. They are however, the most convenient options for me at this moment. The LIDL supermarket is close to where I live and the majority of the granola in the store is the Crownfield brand. Saying this, I do tend to enjoy their cereals. Reading my other Crownfield reviews you will know my honest feelings about some of their other products. In this product line (the more natural, plain wheat and oats line) I will only review this specific selection. The other options are just typical plains oats and wheat. The same wheats as this one, but nothing more. That is great, but they are not anything special and they have no other food products within them.

I typically prefer to enjoy my cereals with milk and coffee. For me, the nuts and dried fruits are a little bit important. Not only do they add flavour to the breakfast in general, but they make the wheats and oats taste better combined with milk also. This is a more personal taste, but it´s a notable one as well. Without the dried fruits it is just not the same.

Clearly this is not a clustered granola option. There is no honey, nor is there any added sugars. If you like a sweet morning meal you will not find it here. The sweetness comes only from the dried raisins and the little shreds of coconut sprinkled throughout. I am not a huge fan of sweets so I really like the simple all-natural flavouring. I do love a satisfying crunch, but for my morning fiber and for general taste, I´m content with a recipe like this.

Above you can see the muesli, wheats, oats, hazlenuts, almonds, raisins (but they are mostly buried in my bowl), and little while fleks of coconut. A great healthy source of fibre. Like it said on the bag "High Fibre".

I did neglect to talk about the packaging this week, but I felt it to not be too important. It follows the same general design and naming conventions as the other Crownfield options. The only difference is that this bag has a clear plastic section allowing one to see exactly what they are buying. Which I have to say is a great thing to do. Completely transparent marketing. Literally. I am not a huge fan of cereals in bags because I don´t like how annoying they can be to open and reseal, but it is less wasteful than putting a little bag in a big box. So good job crownfield.

A nice close-up just to illustrate what you will be eating.

Overall I like this product and I do eat it often. It is probably my second favourite of the three that I have reviewed from this company thus far. I reccommend this especially to health conscious people, people looking for more fibre in their diets, and for people that do not like sweet foods. When I eat this I feel like I can take on a day with nothing waying me down. It provides a great clean start to the morning in a different way than other breakfast options. Whether you are out in the country or preparing for the hustle of the city, you can take that time in the morning to enjoing these whole oats. Swing on down to your local LIDL or any other supermarket that may carry this product, and pick it up today.
